Sports conditions can include but aren’t limited to:
Knee injuries - There are a variety of possible injuries including, but not limited to, ACL injuries, meniscus injuries, dislocations, and lateral or medial collateral ligament injuries.
Ankle sprains - see sprains under Recent Injuries
Osgood-Schlatter’s Disease - This condition is characterized by pain, tenderness and swelling over the tibial tubercle (the bony protuberance below the knee). It most often affects 10-15 year old males and is usually unilateral.
Gymnast wrist - Thought to be an overuse condition characterized by pain in one or both wrists, swelling may or may not be present.
Sever’s Disease - Sever’s disease is a condition in which pain develops around the heel and is usually aggravated by standing on tip toes or running.
